Colin Kaepernick Generously Donates $25,000 to Coalition for the Homeless

“I will donate one million dollars plus all the proceeds of my jersey sales from the 2016 season to organizations working in oppressed communities, 100k a month for 10 months.” – Colin Kaepernick

Nearly a year ago Colin Kaepernick pledged to donate one million dollars – $100,000 each month – through his foundation Kaepernick 7 to charities fighting injustice. He has kept his promise, and the Coalition for the Homeless is proud to be one of four recipients of the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback’s donations announced in August.

In response to this generous gift Coalition for the Homeless Executive Director Dave Giffen told the New York Daily News:

“Colin’s generosity is deeply appreciated – especially among those of us who so admire his commitment to social justice. His gift will help fund the Coalition’s frontline services that help more than 3,500 homeless New Yorkers every day with food, clothing, crisis services, housing, job training and youth programs. With homelessness in NYC at near-record levels, Colin’s support couldn’t have come at a better time. We were so glad to be included in his campaign.”
